First of all, they should realize that having released another device for entertainment they won’t probably be able to compete with Apple as equals. The iPad is expensive, so not every student can afford it. Moreover, the Apple’s tablet hardly recognizes the handwriting, which is inconvenient for educational needs. It would be handier for students to have double-screen booklets with the handwriting recognition, where on the one side you could read a textbook, and on the other side take notes. There already exist such devices, but there remains to find the means of cheapening the production and reduce the price so that it won’t be so unaffordable for students.
What concerns healthcare, there are also needed specialized tablet devices with certain set of features and functions. They shouldn’t be too expensive, as well, so that even local hospitals could afford supplying them for every medical person.
Besides, the iPad is not very good for business needs, too, because it doesn’t possess the sufficient functionality. Here manufacturers may not be restricted by the price of production and create something really helpful for the businessmen, which would be able to substantially increase their efficiency.
